2nd October 2026 is a public holiday across India to observe Gandhi Jayanti — the 157th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. In line with official government holiday rules, there will be no Lottery Sambad draws today. All three daily Dear Lottery draws — Dear Morning (1:00 PM), Dear Evening (6:00 PM), and Dear Night (8:00 PM) — are suspended for the day.
This holiday notice applies to the Nagaland State Lottery and is verified from the official Directorate of Nagaland State Lotteries regulations, which state that lottery draws are held daily "except on three National Holidays i.e., 26th January (Republic Day), 15th August (Independence Day) and 2nd October (Gandhi Jayanti)" [citation:3].
📅 What's Suspended Today — All Three Draws
The Nagaland State Lottery normally conducts three draws every day, including Sundays and general holidays. However, Gandhi Jayanti is one of only three national holidays when no lottery draws are conducted [citation:3].
